TENS stands for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation. TENS units are predominantly used for nerve-related pain conditions. They work by sending stimulating pulses across the surface of the skin and along the nerve strands. The pulse reduces the nerve’s ability to transmit pain signals to the spinal cord and brain. Equalize Sports Massage uses the BioStim M7 and the BioStim INF.
Essential oils can be incorporated into massage. These oils are specifically formulated to accompany Bon Vital’ massage cremes for a customized therapeutic massage experience.
Where there is congested tissue in need of manual therapy to increase range of motion, there can be weakened, opposing muscle that has been inhibited from doing the job it was designed to do. Strength training can enhance the benefits of regular massage, as well as the equalization process of bringing balance back to the body. This is a separate service from massage. (Coming Soon : OnLine Personal Training!)
Each session is a 30-minute, in-person strength training session.
Assisted neuromuscular stretching utilizes reflexes to produce deeper forms of stretch within neuromyofascial (nervous, muscle, fascia) tissue, thus, increasing range of motion. This is a 30-minute session.
